mo' money...same problems....

Hey Reader

Last week, I watched a video that had me 🤯 (mind blown in case the emoji didn't do it for you). I'm going to preface this by saying, I've been a consumer of personal finance content since 2018. I've been a money coach since 2022.

While I know that having more money does not automatically make people feel better about money, I've never seen a clearer example than in this video from Ramit Sethi's podcast. It's long so if you don't want to watch the whole thing, I encourage you to start at the most impactful part for me (39:42) and I encourage you to watch for 8 minutes.

Because of the amount of money they have, it may feel unrelatable to you at first. But understand that if you told yourself that the reason you're stressed about money is ONLY (or mainly) because you don't make enough, you are in her shoes emotionally.

Another thing I've learned coaching people on their money is that more often than not, people feel worse about their money than the situation merits. It's always shocking to them how much disposable income they have. Everyone always feels their money is so tight!

That's because, as the video showed, there is not a direct correlation between the dollars in your bank account and how you feel about money.

If that's the case, how does one ever feel good about money?

The first step is to hit pause on the anxiety and fear and look at your money objectively. That's why I created the $9 Financial Fitness Check with the goal of helping you see the REAL of your money quickly, efficiently, and accurately.

Inside, you'll find a checklist you can use to see how much you ACTUALLY know about your money. There are video trainings for each part of the checklist so that you can assess your money in less than 60 minutes!

And if you really want to get some work done, grab your fillable workbook to match the checklist. The workbook will help you take action on what you find in the checklist.

So the checklist that's included is the what while the workbook is the how! Does that make sense?

Eager to see you thrive,

Prisca

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Anthony Weaver on the About That Wallet podcast - and y'all, he asked me ALL the questions. My money journey, my worst money mistake (two cars in the same year... I'll explain), how I finally started building real wealth as a nurse, and the three steps that completely changed how I relate to money. I had so much fun recording this one. Anthony creates a space where the conversation flows naturally. If you've been following along here for a while, you'll...

Amazon Prime Day is here, and if you're anything like I used to be, your inbox, social media feeds, and Amazon app are probably reminding you about it every few minutes. Funny enough, Prime Day usually happens in July, but this year it showed up a little earlier running from June 23 - 26. Years ago, I would have on this sale like white on rice. I'm a recovering Amazon shopper, a long ways from the days when my living room looked like an Amazon warehouse. Sales felt like opportunities I...

Hey Reader This week, I’ve been thinking about how far I’ve come with saving and investing and how different it looks from where I started. Back then, I was just putting a small amount into retirement because I knew I should. It was about $200 a paycheck. Nothing fancy. Just a start. Which reminds me of this common piece of advice you’ll see everywhere in personal finance: “Save 15–20% of your income.” Which begs the question…is all that really necessary? Honestly, yes, but not all at once....
